About a month ago, on January 27, 2010, reclusive author JD Salinger died of natural causes at the age of 91. Best known for his novel "Catcher in the Rye" and his portraits of the Glass Family, Salinger was one of the definitive writers of his generation. "Catcher in the Rye", controversial upon its release, is still taught in schools all across the country. The character of Holden Caulfield has become an iconic cultural figure symbolizing teenage rebellion.
